SENATOR CORTESE TO ANNOUNCE MAJOR STATE INVESTMENT IN AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURAL CENTER

WHAT: Senator Dave Cortese will join community leaders in announcing $3 million in state funding for a planned mixed-use complex known as the Silicon Valley African American Cultural Center. The Center, which will be located by 2001 The Alameda, will include affordable homes, a health clinic, a performing arts theater, a museum, athletic facilities, and retail spaces. The Center will also be a gathering place to learn about the rich history and many contributions of African Americans.
